In November 2015, shooting started on the short video clip showcasing the need for professionally written screenplays and scripts.
In October 2015, a closed door session was arranged between the Screenwriters Association, the MDA and Mediacorp, to discuss Public Service Broadcasting. This session was attended by several members of all three organisations and produced a lively discussion.

In August 2015 a series of brainstorming meetings were held with members to discuss a proposal to MDA to cover one component of the StoryLab project - which could potentially deliver classes around storytelling through screenwriting.
In August 2015, Swee San took part in a panel at an event organised by NTUC regarding Writers' Rights.

Swee San and Olivia from the Association committee met with President of SAAVA, Chan Gin Kai and Justin Deimen, member of both SAAVA and the Screenwriters Association, to discuss ways to work together. SAAVA, the Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association, is a non-profit organisation that seeks to unify media producers and promote collaborations in the region. https://www.facebook.com/saava.org/
In June 2015, the Association was one of 229 signatories to a letter calling for discourse on IP and artistic practices. This was in reference to a report that “Quirky ping pong table at SEA Games carnival resembles work by Singaporean artist”. Thanks to a kind donation of filming and other equipment such as iMacs, desks and chairs, the Association was able to hold a fund-raising auction for members, in May-June 2015.
In May 2015, the Fundraising Subcommittee started work - many thanks to member Dora Tan for organising. The first activity was to run the My Write Foot challenge, where members and friends would either attempt to write with their right foot, then video and post the results - or pay a forfeit to the Association.

In May 2015, the Association also set up a Paypal account and Youtube channel.
The Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) – A festival that brings together content creators and producers with parents, teachers, librarians and anyone interested in quality Asian content for children around the world. The Association arranged a movie outing in conjunction with the Singapore Film Society, to watch Unlucky Plaza at Lido, in April 2015. A Q&A session was held with director Ken Kwek following the screening.
In April 2015, the Association committee met with incoming MDA CEO Gabriel Lim, to discuss the needs and direction of the local screenwriting community.
A sharing session was held with Esan Sivalingam at the Aliwal Arts Centre, in March 2015.Esan is a writer and director who was first known for his work on iconic Singaporean TV series Puah Chu Kang. Since then he has followed this with a number of films and TV projects.
The Screenwriters Association AGM 2015 was held at the Arts House, on Jan 30 2015.
A few members had engaging dinner with Philip Shelley on 26 November 2014.
A meeting with MDA to discuss the Proposal for Secretariat was held on 21 November 2014.
A Skype session with Glen Mazzara, former showrunner for "The Walking Dead" was held at The Arts House on 14 October 2014.
A screening of "Utter" — a showcase of four short films, two of which were written by our members Teh Su Ching and Wesley Aroozoo was held at The Arts House on 4 September 2014.
A focus group study for Story Lab was held at MDA on 5 August 2014.
