PitchFest 2021
Calling all screenwriters: Have a thrilling story premise for a TV show, series, or feature film?
Enter PitchFest 2021 to stand a chance to win cash prizes and a closed-door pitch in front of a panel of experienced industry producers, screenwriters, and network executives! Submissions close 1st December 2021.
ENTRY SUBMISSION:
A logline of not more than 30 words.
A synopsis of not more than 500 words.
REQUIREMENTS:
Fiction or factual entries welcome.
Draw on materials from the National Archives of Singapore
In your entry, simply reference a material/s from the National Archives — be it a document, photo, map, or other audio-visual material. Your entry can be inspired by historical materials or draw upon events and characters for a fictional story — it's up to you!
For example, the story premise can be an alternative history of a war hero. Or what if Singapore was colonised by France. Or using a Chinatown gangster as a fictional character.
In essence, you can draw story ideas as and how you wish from the National Archives. There is no limit how much or how little. Just indicate the material in the form.
Deadline is on Wednesday, 1 December 2021 at 11.59pm.
JUDGING PROCESS:
Entries will be shortlisted by a panel of experienced screenwriters.
The top 10 entries will be invited to a closed-door pitch via Zoom with the judges from the broadcast and media industry on the last week of December (date to be confirmed).
