IT’S OUR FIRST NOSH-UP!

Greetings! The Screenwriters Association has lined up a slew of programmes for SAS members, beginning with the first, this month.

Date: Sunday, 26 June

Time: 11am to 2.30pm

Venue: Crane, 148 Arab Street (It’s a 3 storey shophouse in Kampong Glam).

SAS Members attend for FREE! We’ve got lunch provided, so please RSVP if you can make it.

PROGRAMME:

  • Authors’ Sharing: Hear from a panel of SG authors whose adult fiction books have chalked up quiet acclaim. Their next step is to identify scriptwriters/collaborators who are keen to explore adaptions. We can’t promise you will be the next Adele Lim who found fame with Crazy Rich Asians, but let’s take the first step in picking up an outstanding SingLit book and meet the author/publisher first.

  • Meet the new EXCO! We’ll talk about our first break and taste of success. In short, you’ll hear from us on what you can do to get a head start in the screenwriting business. (You’ll get to grill Leslie, Kane, Thean-Jeen, Joseph, Chiang Meng and Adeline )

So what else can you expect for the rest of the year? We’re lining up masterclasses (expect to learn from veteran screenwriters who’ve done it, adapt a book for film; meet TV and Film panellists at the Singapore Writers Festival, and of course, PitchFest 2022, a brand-new edition!
